How do you make a clip show not a clip show? By finding the story, telling it with music and making it sizzle from start to finish! And that's what we did when we produced Latin Explosion. These two, one hour syndicated broadcast specials, hosted by television personalities Fredy Correa and Angel DeLeon, were an exciting and exclusive look at Latin music today and how the American mainstream audience has embraced it. With exclusive interviews with performers, producers, songwriters and critics sharing their experiences, opinions and predictions about the Latin music scene, we combined an exclusive concert at the world famous Copacabana Nightclub with EPK's, music videos, and pre-existing footage to explore how the Latin rhythm and beat is fast becoming a mainstay in popular music. And if that wasn't enough, the show also looked back at the history of Latin music in the US and looked forward to what new and alternative sounds are coming out of North and South America today. These syndicated specials aired worldwide in September and December of 2000 and 2001, and featured performances and/or interviews with Jon Secada, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, Christina Aguilera, Elvis Crespo, La Ley, Shakira, Julieta Venegas, Molotov, Carlos Vives, Son by Four and more.
