When Lifetime asked us to do something different with one of their Weddings of A Lifetime prime time specials, we said "I do" and then we did. We banished the on-site hosts and wedding experts and lost the 'in-your-face' style of shooting. Instead, we kept the drama, the romance and the glamour of the experience and created intimacy by allowing the couple, their families and their friends, to tell the story in their own words. With a knack for finding great stories, we found two doctors with two very different backgrounds, a Jewish groom and Hindi bride. Woven throughout the show is the story of their courtship and how these two, culturally different families, came together after the groom suffered a life threatening illness. Shooting mostly Beta and mixing some DV for intimacy and effect, we followed this young couple in the days leading up to their interfaith wedding as they participated in various rituals and last minute preparations. The special culminates with a multi camera shoot of the ceremony and reception at a grand and elegant stone castle. This program was one of Lifetime's highest rated wedding specials.
